Iran Parliament Speaker Rejects Claims of Mandatory U.S. Imports
WANA (Jun 25) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf dismissed claims that Iran would be required to use its unfrozen assets to purchase American products, responding with a sharp message on social media.
“America falsely claims our unfrozen assets will buy their agriculture. Interesting. The only crop we’re harvesting is what you planted: decades of mistrust. It’s organic, abundant, and homegrown,” Ghalibaf wrote.
He added, “But apparently the U.S. only exports GMO soybeans, broken promises, and trash talks.”
The remarks came in response to allegations that the release of Iranian frozen assets would be tied to imports of U.S. agricultural products.
