Iran Police Foil Third Terror Plot in 72 Hours
WANA (Aug 30) – Iran’s Law Enforcement Command (FARAJA) has carried out its third successful counterterrorism operation within the past 72 hours, according to the force’s spokesperson.
FARAJA spokesperson, Brigadier General Saeed Montazer-al-Mahdi, said that following the elimination of eight terrorists involved in the recent Iranshahr attack and the discovery of a bomb-making workshop with suicide vests, counterterrorism units launched another raid in Khash County.
“In this operation, a safe house was identified and dismantled, leading to the seizure of significant amounts of bomb precursors, suicide vests, and military equipment,” the spokesperson announced.
He added that, under the directive of the national police chief, FARAJA has intensified operations against terrorist elements and criminal networks, stressing that such measures will continue decisively.
Previously, on August 28, the police commander of Sistan and Baluchestan announced the discovery of a workshop for producing explosive vests and homemade bombs linked to a militant cell that was dismantled in a recent operation in Iranshahr.
