Iran Protests U.S. Exploitation of Airspace and Territory of Five Regional Countries
WANA (Apr 23) – The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations has lodged a strong protest in separate letters to the UN Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council regarding the alleged exploitation by the United States of the territory and airspace of five regional countries.
According to these communications, Iran emphasized that the use of the territory of third countries for military actions or attacks against another country is in violation of international law and the responsibilities of states. In this context, the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemned the actions of the United States in utilizing the territories and airspaces of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates for such activities.
In these letters, Iran explicitly called on the mentioned countries to adhere to the principles of good neighborliness and to prevent the continued use of their territories for actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Reports indicate that each of these letters details specific instances of the exploitation of the airspace and territory of these countries for operations against Iran, providing clear documentation of the violations.
