Iran, Qatar Reaffirm Commitment to Regional Stability Amid Rising Tensions
WANA (Jun 24) – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, held a phone conversation this morning with Qatar’s Minister of State at the Foreign Ministry, Mohammed Al-Khulaifi, to discuss bilateral relations and recent regional developments following aggressive actions by Israel and the United States against Iran.
During the call, Takht-Ravanchi expressed appreciation for Qatar’s constructive role in helping to prevent the escalation of insecurity in the region.
He emphasized the strong and friendly ties between the Iranian and Qatari peoples and reiterated the Islamic Republic of Iran’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations based on good neighborliness and mutual interests.
Referring to what he described as hostile acts by Israel and the U.S. against Iran and other regional nations, the Iranian official stressed that Iran, in cooperation and understanding with neighboring countries, would not allow such actions to sow division in the region.
Mohammed Al-Khulaifi, for his part, underscored the excellent Iran-Qatar relationship and called for joint efforts by all regional countries to safeguard security and stability. He reaffirmed Qatar’s determination to play a constructive role in this regard.
