WANA (Jul 16) – Iran’s men’s sitting volleyball team advanced to the final of the 14th Sitting Volleyball World Championships after defeating Kazakhstan in straight sets, securing qualification for the Los Angeles Paralympic Games.

 

The Iranian team delivered another dominant performance in Thursday’s semifinal in China, defeating Kazakhstan 3-0 to book its place in the final. The victory also confirmed Iran’s qualification for the Paralympic Games, marking the nation’s 11th Paralympic appearance in the sport.

 

Iran, which boasts an impressive record of eight world titles, one runner-up finish, and three third-place finishes, will face the winner of the Bosnia and Herzegovina–Brazil semifinal on Friday as it bids to claim a record-extending ninth World Championship title.
