Iran Ready to Support Lebanon and Its Resistance at All Levels
WANA (Sep 28) – The Public Relations Office of Hezbollah issued a statement today announcing a meeting between Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, and Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem in Beirut.
The meeting was also attended by Mojtaba Amani, Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon.
According to the statement, Larijani reaffirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s full support for Lebanon and its resistance, in line with the directives of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic. He emphasised that Iran is prepared to support Lebanon and its resistance movement at all levels.
Sheikh Naim Qassem expressed his gratitude to the Iranian leadership, government, and people for their condolences on the anniversary of the “martyrdom” of Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safi al-Din, and for Iran’s continued support for Lebanon and the resistance.
He stressed that Lebanon remains resilient in the face of U.S. and Israeli threats, noting that the Lebanese people are deeply committed to dignity, freedom, and independence. “Anyone observing the brave stance of our people will understand that victory against the Israeli enemy is the destiny of its opponents,” he stated.
Qassem further added that Hezbollah is ready to cooperate with all who stand against the Israeli enemy, calling it a threat to all nations, governments, and resistance movements. “We firmly believe that the aggressive Israeli hegemony will face a humiliating and disgraceful end in the face of this unwavering resistance,” he concluded.
Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, arrived in Beirut yesterday at the official invitation of Hezbollah. His visit comes on the occasion of the first anniversary of the assassination of Seyed Hassan Nasrallah and Seyed Hashem Safi al-Din, the movement’s former secretary-generals.
During his visit, he met with Lebanese officials, including Lebanon’s Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, and Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament.
