Iran Reaffirms Opposition to Geopolitical Changes
WANA (Jul 19) – Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), Ali Akbar Ahmadian, reiterated the Islamic Republic’s firm stance against any changes in the regional geopolitical landscape during a phone call with his Armenian counterpart.
Ahmadian, who also serves as the representative of the Supreme Leader, held a telephone conversation with Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, in which the two sides discussed bilateral ties and regional developments.

Grigoryan provided an update on Armenia’s ongoing negotiations with Azerbaijan and emphasized that Armenia’s position on regional transit routes remains unchanged.
Ahmadian expressed appreciation for Armenia’s condemnation of the Israeli regime’s recent attack on Iran. He stressed that Iran continues to view any alteration in the region’s geopolitical configuration as detrimental and reaffirms its policy of maintaining stability, which it sees as beneficial for all regional actors.
The two officials also underscored the importance of expanding bilateral relations, particularly in the economic sphere.
