WANA (Sep 14) – The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while condemning the allegations contained in the statement of the Group of Seven (G7) and their partners against Iran, emphasized that the authors of this statement must correct their mistaken and criminal policies toward Iran and the region.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran declared that “the allegations contained in the joint statement of the members of the Group of Seven and their partners regarding the Islamic Republic of Iran are baseless, irresponsible, and sheer scapegoating, and it condemns them.”

The statement added: “Raising unfounded accusations against those responsible for safeguarding Iran’s national security is a blatant distortion of realities and deceitful scapegoating by the authors of such statements, who, through their illegal and destabilizing conduct in various parts of the world—especially in West Asia—have promoted lawlessness and intensified insecurity.”

“Without doubt, the United States and other members of the G7 must be held accountable for their disgraceful actions in endangering regional and global stability and security, particularly due to their complicity and partnership in Israel’s gross violations of international law, including humanitarian law and human rights, in the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as their support for notorious terrorists, it mentioned.”

The Iranian Foreign Ministry stressed: “At a time when the Zionist regime, benefiting from the full support of the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and other countries behind this anti-Iranian statement, is engaged in massacres and genocide in the occupied Palestinian territories and continuous warmongering against regional states, issuing anti-Iranian statements serves no purpose other than diverting public opinion from the crime of the century and concealing the complicity of the drafters of this statement in genocide.”

The statement added: “The authors of such irresponsible statements, instead of insisting on scapegoating rooted in their outdated supremacist and colonial mentalities, must correct their mistaken and criminal policies toward Iran and the region.”
