WANA (Sep 25) – Manouchehr Moradi, Assistant to the Foreign Minister and Director-General for Eurasia at Iran’s Foreign Ministry, dismissed recent remarks by the Ukrainian president at the United Nations General Assembly, calling his accusations against Iran “repetitive and baseless.”

“The Ukrainian president’s claims against Iran are repetitive and unfounded, and they will not change the existing realities nor the disastrous situation Ukraine is facing,” Moradi said.

He stressed that since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, the Islamic Republic of Iran has maintained a “principled and consistent position,” emphasizing the need to end the war and resort to diplomacy to resolve disputes.

Labeling the accusations “groundless,” Moradi added: “Those who, through poor judgment and by following America’s geopolitical and warmongering ambitions, have dragged the great country of Ukraine into a destructive war should act responsibly and, instead of accusing others, focus on ending the war and bloodshed in their own country.”
