WANA (May 11) – A source close to Iran’s negotiating team has dismissed recent reports in Western media about the contents of Tehran’s proposed framework in ongoing talks, describing them as part of a “psychological operation” aimed at influencing the negotiation process.

According to the informed source, contrary to claims made by several Western outlets, Iran’s proposal contains no provision whatsoever regarding the transfer of enriched nuclear material out of the country. The source stressed that such reports are false and have no basis in the actual text submitted by Tehran.

The source also stated that Iran, in its proposal, has set a specific timeline for the release of its frozen assets abroad. According to the source, the U.S. proposal merely referred to the unfreezing of Iranian funds, while Tehran insisted that the process must take place within a clearly defined and binding timeframe.

In addition, the source firmly rejected reports circulated by some Western media claiming that Iran had proposed a “15-year suspension” of uranium enrichment activities.

“The claims by certain Western fake-news outlets suggesting that Iran has offered a 15-year suspension of nuclear enrichment are completely false and are being spread as part of a psychological media campaign,” the source said.

The remarks come amid a wave of conflicting reports in recent days regarding the content of proposals exchanged between Tehran and Washington, as media speculation surrounding the nuclear negotiations intensifies once again.
