Iran Releases Final Death Toll of ‘Ramadan War’: 3,375 Killed
WANA (Apr 20) – The head of Iran’s Legal Medicine Organization has released the final casualty figures for the conflict spanning from the start of the Ramadan War to April 10, 2026.
A total of 3,375 people were killed, including 2,875 men and 496 women. Four remains currently remain unidentified due to the severity of the injuries.
Demographic Breakdown
The casualties across various age groups are as follows:
- Under 1 year: 7
- 1–12 years: 255
- 13–18 years: 121
- 19–30 years: 969
- 31–40 years: 792
- 41–50 years: 639
- 51–60 years: 267
- 61–70 years: 163
- Over 71 years: 60
The highest death tolls were recorded in the provinces of Tehran, Hormozgan, and Isfahan, respectively.
Identification Challenges
The official noted that approximately 40% of the bodies were initially unidentifiable due to the nature of the missiles and bombs utilized by U.S. and Israeli forces. Forensic teams have since identified and returned nearly all remains to their families.
