WANA (Mar 22) – The spokesperson for the Islamic Republic of Iran Army stated that Iranian forces had carried out a drone attack on Ben Gurion Airport using advanced unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the spokesperson, the operation primarily involved the use of Arash-2 drones, described as a more advanced and destructive version of the Kian and Arash-1 models.

The drone reportedly has a range of up to 2,000 kilometers and is referred to in Iranian military terminology as an “Israel-striking” UAV.

The official added that the drone’s very small radar cross-section allows it to evade enemy radar systems, making detection difficult. Its long flight endurance and relatively low cost—compared to both other drones and the air defense missiles used to intercept it—were also highlighted as key advantages.

The spokesperson further noted that the Arash-2 can be produced rapidly and deployed quickly, enabling large numbers of the drones to be launched with ease whenever required.
