WANA (Mar 09) – Iranian officials say recent attacks by the United States and Israel have caused significant human casualties and extensive damage to civilian infrastructure across the country.

According to the Iranian Red Crescent Society, a total of 13,785 civilian sites have been targeted in aerial strikes so far. Among them are 2,383 commercial units and 11,293 residential buildings.

Educational facilities have also been affected. Iranian authorities report that 65 schools were hit in the attacks and suffered serious damage.

Meanwhile, figures released by Iran’s health authorities indicate a rising death toll. Ali Jafarian, senior adviser to Iran’s health minister, said in an interview with Al Jazeera that more than 1,255 people have been killed and around 12,000 others injured in the recent strikes.

He added that over 200 of those killed were women, noting that the majority of the victims were civilians. Iranian officials say the figures highlight the scale of the damage inflicted on residential areas and public infrastructure during the attacks.
