Iran Responds to Netanyahu’s UN Speech Before Empty Seats
WANA (Sep 26) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry has strongly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to the UN General Assembly on Friday, describing it as an attempt to justify “genocide, aggression, and warmongering.”
Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei wrote on X: “Today at the UN General Assembly, while Netanyahu — a war criminal wanted by the International Criminal Court — repeated his fascist rhetoric before nearly empty seats, it was the images of innocent Iranian children that truly represented the Iranian nation.”
He added that these children served as witnesses, exposing “the true face of a criminal who shamelessly takes pride in his atrocities.”
Baghaei further asked: “How can a war criminal under prosecution stand at the most prestigious global platform, stare into the eyes of the international community, and carry out a campaign of lies and deceit to justify genocide, aggression, and warmongering?”
As Netanyahu began his address at the UN General Assembly, a large number of diplomats from various countries walked out of the hall. Social media / WANA News Agency
