WANA (Apr 03) – An informed source reported that on April 2, the United States, through a friendly intermediary, proposed a 48-hour ceasefire to Iran.

According to assessments, the offer came after the escalation of the regional crisis and serious setbacks for U.S. military forces following a miscalculation of Iran’s military capabilities.

The source stated that Iran’s response was not written but carried out on the ground, with continued heavy attacks.

The source also added that U.S. diplomatic efforts to halt hostilities, particularly following the targeting of a U.S. military depot on Bubiyan Island in Kuwait, have been met with an intensified Iranian response.
