Iran, Russia, and China Hold Trilateral Talks on Resolution 2231 in Tehran
WANA (Jul 23) – trilateral meeting between the diplomatic delegations of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Russian Federation, and the People’s Republic of China was held on Tuesday in Tehran, hosted by Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on the latest developments regarding the nuclear negotiations, the lifting of sanctions, and issues related to the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2231.
The three sides reaffirmed their governments’ strong commitment to maintaining close consultations and agreed to continue such discussions at various levels in the coming weeks.
In addition, the heads of the Russian and Chinese delegations held separate meetings on the sidelines with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs and the Director-General for International Peace and Security Affairs.
