WANA (Jul 20) – The CASAREX 2025 Combined Maritime Search and Rescue Exercise will be held in the Caspian Sea starting tomorrow for a duration of three days, hosted by the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy.

 

This multilateral drill, officially titled the CASAREX 2025 Caspian Sea Combined Maritime Search and Rescue Exercise, is being organized by Iran’s Northern Fleet and will feature participation from the naval forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation.

 

Held under the slogan “Together for a Safe and Secure Caspian Sea,” the exercise will bring together the Iranian Navy, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGC Navy), the Law Enforcement Command of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Russian Navy. Observers from other Caspian littoral states are also scheduled to attend.

 

The primary objective of CASAREX 2025 is to enhance maritime safety and security in the Caspian Sea region and to strengthen naval cooperation among the coastal nations.
