Iran Says Embassy Operations in Lebanon Continue Normally
WANA (Mar 11) – The Iranian ambassador to Lebanon announced that the activities of the Embassy of Iran in Lebanon are continuing as usual and that consular services for Iranian citizens remain fully operational.
According to a statement posted on the embassy’s account on the social media platform X (Twitter), Mohammadreza Raouf Sheibani, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Lebanon, confirmed that the embassy’s daily operations are proceeding normally and that consular services for Iranian nationals residing in Lebanon will continue without interruption.
Sheibani also referred to a notice issued several days earlier by the public relations department of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran. He explained that, due to the current security conditions in Lebanon following attacks by Israel on the country, and in order to ensure the safety of Iranian citizens, the families of embassy staff temporarily left Beirut.
According to the ambassador, the departure was coordinated with relevant authorities and included the families of embassy employees, teachers, and students of the Iranian school in Beirut, as well as a number of Iranian residents in Lebanon.
