WANA (Jul 16) – Iran’s Army announced that U.S. military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain were targeted in the tenth phase of its “Thunderbolt” operation.

 

According to a statement released by the Army’s Public Relations Office, Arash drones struck radar systems, Patriot air defense systems, and fuel storage facilities at the U.S. military’s Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.

 

The statement said the Patriot system at the base was responsible for protecting the installation, as well as transport aircraft and advanced drones, including the MQ-9 Reaper.

 

In a separate wave of attacks, the Army said communication and radar systems—including Super Hawk radars—as well as Patriot air defense systems and other military facilities at the Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain were also targeted by drone strikes.

 

The statement further claimed that Sheikh Isa Air Base, which serves as a support hub for U.S. military aircraft, sustained significant damage in previous drone and missile attacks carried out by Iran’s Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

 

Concluding the statement, the Army said that “the enemy’s aggression, threats, and acts of hostility only strengthen our determination and capability to defend the country.” It added that the Army’s strength is rooted in public support, military readiness, and the legacy of fallen servicemen, pledging to remain steadfast in defending Iran’s national interests.
