Iran Sets New Oil Production Record
WANA (Aug 25) – The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company announced that the country has achieved a new milestone in oil production.
Hamid Bourd, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company, stated that crude oil output at the beginning of September this year reached its highest level in seven and a half years. He described this achievement as the result of the tireless efforts of experts and workers in the oil industry to advance the goals of the 14th government and strengthen the national economy.
According to him, the ups and downs of production have not weakened the country’s oil industry but have instead made it more resilient. He emphasized that this accomplishment will be remembered as one of the proud moments in the history of Iran’s oil sector and could mark a bright beginning for the future outlook of the 14th government’s activities.
Most of this year’s increase in production capacity has been realized in the southern oilfields, West Karun, and the Arvandan Oil and Gas Company. Additional gains have come from new projects, the commissioning of new wells, and the operation of desalination units in the Central Iranian Oilfields Company.
