Around 20,000 attendees are expected, including members of international organizations, employees of Russia’s nuclear sector, technical university students, and high school pupils. This marks the first time an “Atomic Forum” has been held on such a scale.
Alongside the exhibition, the Atom Museum: The Future of Atoms was inaugurated at the VDNKh complex. The forum’s business program includes more than 40 events such as thematic sessions, roundtables, and the signing of key agreements. Over 80 additional events with 120 speakers are being held over three days on topics including the outlook for Russia’s nuclear industry, atomic intelligence, borderless communication, and informed decision-making.
The exhibition also features a global food festival and showcases of “nuclear cities” in an open-air setting.
Russia is celebrating the 80th anniversary of its nuclear industry in 2025, marking the creation of the Soviet Union’s Special Committee on the Use of Atomic Energy on August 20, 1945.
