Iran Showcases Persian Literature at 11th Baku International Book Fair
WANA (Oct 01) – The 11th Baku International Book Fair will be held from October 1 to 7, 2025, at the Baku Expo Centre, under the theme “Techno-Human: Yesterday’s Myth, Today’s Reality”. The event, organised by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, features the active participation of Iran’s Book and Literature House, representing the Islamic Republic’s publishing industry.
Iran will present a 20-square-meter national booth, showcasing around 400 book titles across various genres — including classical and contemporary literature, children’s and young adult books, Iranian studies, Persian language education, scientific and academic works, history, art and culture, and non-fiction for both children and adults.
Iranian Publishers and Literary Agencies Represented
Notable Iranian publishing houses and literary agencies such as Sham-o- Mah, Nimaj Publications, and the Seljuk Literary Agency will participate in the booth. They will also engage in professional meetings and workshops to share experiences with international publishers, translators, and literature enthusiasts.
Cultural & Professional Dialogues
The Iranian delegation will host several specialised and cultural panels, focusing on topics such as:
- Translating Persian literature into foreign languages
- Showcasing Iran’s publishing capacities
- The role of technology in promoting reading habits
- Strengthening cultural cooperation between Iran and Azerbaijan
These sessions aim to enhance dialogue and collaboration between publishers, translators, and authors from participating countries.
Promoting Iran’s Global Literary Presence

- The Iran Book Grant Program
- The Islamic Republic of Iran’s World Book Award
- The Tehran International Book Fair
These efforts serve to promote the Persian language, encourage international translation and copyright partnerships, and boost Iran’s role in cultural diplomacy and literary exchange.
