Iran Signals Full Readiness for Potential Escalation; “New Surprises” Prepared
WANA (Apr 21) – As the final hours of the mutually agreed ceasefire between Iran and the United States approach, a reputable domestic Iranian media outlet, citing informed sources, reports that Tehran has placed itself on full alert for various scenarios, including the possible resumption of hostilities.
According to the report, what has been described as U.S. “excessive demands,” along with the announcement of a naval blockade, has obstructed the formation of renewed negotiations. In response, sources indicate that Iran has not only raised its military readiness but has also prepared “new surprises” for any potential confrontation.
The same sources state that over the past two weeks, the likelihood of a return to conflict has consistently been considered a serious scenario. As a result, certain military repositionings have been carried out and new target lists have been prepared.
They further emphasized that Iran is ready to respond from the very first moments of any potential conflict.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf wrote in a post last night: “Trump, by imposing a blockade and violating the ceasefire, seeks to turn the negotiating table into a table of surrender or to justify renewed warmongering.” He added: “We do not accept negotiations under the shadow of threat, and over the past two weeks, we have prepared to unveil new cards on the battlefield.”
