WANA (Feb 02) – Iran’s foreign minister has said that Tehran is prepared to reach a “fair and equitable” agreement with the United States, stressing that both countries are at a critical and decisive moment.

In a post on the social media platform X, Seyed Abbas Araghchi referred to his recent interview with CNN, saying that Iran and the United States are facing a pivotal juncture that could shape the future direction of their relations.

He stated that a fair and balanced agreement aimed at ensuring the absence of nuclear weapons is achievable within a short timeframe and would serve the interests of both sides. According to Araghchi, such an outcome remains a realistic and mutually beneficial option.

At the same time, the Iranian foreign minister warned that an alternative scenario cannot be ruled out—one driven by miscalculation or even acts of aggression. He emphasized that Iran is just as prepared for that scenario as it is for a diplomatic resolution.

Araghchi’s remarks come amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding diplomatic efforts between Tehran and Washington, with his message underscoring the two possible paths ahead: a negotiated settlement or a further escalation of tensions, each carrying significant regional and international implications.
