WANA (Sep 05) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran has issued an official statement strongly condemning aggressive actions taken by the United States against Iranian commercial vessels in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman on Saturday, September 5.

In the statement, Iranian officials labeled the maneuvers as illegal and aggressive acts of military aggression, characterising them as part of an ongoing naval blockade and economic warfare waged against the country.

“These illegal and aggressive actions… constitute a clear violation of Article 2, Paragraph 4 of the United Nations Charter, a war crime, and a blatant threat to international peace and commercial shipping security,” the ministry stated.

The Foreign Ministry emphasized Iran’s determination to firmly defend its sovereignty, national interests, state terrorism, and aggressive US measures.

It warned that full responsibility for any consequences arising from continued aggressive actions and interventionist policies in the region rests entirely with the United States regime and its accomplices.
