Iran Strongly Condemns Israeli Airstrikes on Yemen
WANA (Jul 07) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry has issued a strong condemnation of recent Israeli airstrikes on several areas in Yemen, including Hudaydah, Ras Isa, Salif, and the Ras al-Khatib power plant.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei denounced the attacks as a clear act of aggression, labelling Israel’s repeated assaults on Yemen’s economic and civilian infrastructure — including airports, ports, power stations, and food storage facilities — as “blatant crimes against the Yemeni people.”
Baghaei criticized the United Nations Security Council for its continued inaction in the face of such attacks, calling for an immediate end to what he described as the Council’s silence on Israel’s crimes against Yemen.
He further stated that Israel’s continued impunity is a direct result of “unconditional support” from the United States and certain Western countries. This, he argued, has emboldened Israel to carry out repeated aggressions across the region.
Baghaei stressed that all governments in the region and around the world have both a legal and moral responsibility to act against what he called “genocide in occupied Palestine” and to hold Israeli leaders accountable for what he described as “heinous war crimes.”
