WANA (Sep 09) – The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon, particularly recent strikes on residential areas in southern Lebanon that killed and injured dozens of civilians, including women and children. Praising the resilience of the Lebanese people against Israeli occupation, Iran reaffirmed its support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

 

U.S. Complicity in War Crimes

The ministry stated that Israel’s attacks and occupation are carried out with explicit U.S. backing, making the United States a primary accomplice in Israel’s crimes and demanding accountability.

 

UN Security Council Inaction

The statement criticized the UN Security Council’s inaction, warning that it undermines UN credibility and emboldens Israel to expand its warmongering. It called on the UN, the Secretary-General, and member states to take urgent action to stop Israeli attacks.

 

Call to Action for Islamic Nations

Iran reminded Islamic and regional nations of their responsibility to support Lebanon, urging the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to utilize all capabilities to halt Israeli crimes and hold perpetrators accountable.
