Iran: Supporters of U.S. Actions Considered Legally Complicit
WANA (May 05) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson warned that countries backing U.S. military actions could be regarded as legally complicit, while also accusing Washington of putting its regional allies at risk.
Esmaeil Baghaei said in an interview that Iran holds no hostility toward countries in the region, stressing that its recent actions were carried out in self-defense against what he described as U.S. and Israeli attacks.
He added that the United States has used its military bases and assets in several regional countries, along with logistical support from some of them, to expand operations against Iran.
“Under international law, these countries are considered accomplices in these actions,” Baghaei said.
The Iranian diplomat also alleged that the Pentagon is deliberately exposing its Arab allies to risk, describing them as being turned into “human shields.”
