Iran to Showcase Arts at YWCA Diplomatic Exhibition in Bangkok
WANA (Sep 08) – The traditional arts of Iran will be presented at the 70th YWCA Diplomatic Exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 6–9, 2025.
According to the Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Thailand, the YWCA Diplomatic Exhibition is one of Bangkok’s oldest and most renowned diplomatic gatherings, held annually with the participation of diplomatic missions from around the world.
The event provides a valuable opportunity for thousands of local and international visitors to experience Iranian art and handicrafts, while fostering cultural exchange and strengthening friendly relations among nations.
At Iran’s pavilion, a wide range of handicrafts and traditional artworks will be on display, including miniature paintings, enamelware, engraved metalwork, glazed ceramics, marquetry, wood inlay, termeh textiles, and handwoven pictorial carpets. These works will be presented as tangible symbols of Iran’s rich history and civilization, allowing visitors to appreciate the elegance and intricacy of Persian artistry up close.
The Cultural Attaché emphasized that Iran’s participation not only highlights its artistic and cultural heritage but also reflects the role of cultural diplomacy in strengthening ties between Iran, Thailand, and other nations. This presence underscores Iran’s continued engagement in international events in Bangkok and its commitment to fostering mutual understanding through cultural interaction.
This year’s exhibition will also feature the participation of countries such as Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Italy, Greece, Portugal, and Peru, among others.
Last year’s YWCA Diplomatic Exhibition hosted more than 200 booths across 1,500 square meters over three floors of a major shopping center, showcasing cultural products and special festivities from 47 countries.
