Iran to Trump’s Deadline: Get Ready for $150 Oil
WANA (Apr 04) – Tensions between Washington and Tehran have reached a critical flashpoint following a series of exchanges on social media.
Donald J. Trump, once again, via his platform Truth Social, has issued a final 48-hour ultimatum to Iran, prompting a defiant and cautionary response from Esmail Saghab Esfahani, Iran’s Vice President and head of the Strategic Energy Optimization and Management Organization.
In a post on Truth Social, Donald Trump referenced a previous ten-day window he had granted Iran to reach a “deal” or reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Trump stated:
“Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT. Time is running out – 48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them. Glory be to GOD!”
In response to this threat, Esmail Saghab Esfahani took to X (formerly Twitter) to warn of the catastrophic global consequences of any military action. He addressed Trump directly, stating:
“I accept that a hell is being unleashed, but for you and your allies! See the result from now and calculate the damage beforehand:
- $150 Oil
- Electricity and water outages for your supporters in the region
- Financial shock to America
- Unprecedented global inflation
We also know how to set a fire. Do you know how to put it out?”
Saghab Esfahani concluded his post with the hashtag #Loser_Gambler.
This 48-hour countdown serves as the final ten-days postponement of Trump’s previous threat to strike Iran’s energy and strategic infrastructure.
With only two days remaining, the international community remains on high alert regarding the potential for a massive energy crisis and regional escalation.
