WANA (Nov 14) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.

 

During the call, the two top diplomats reviewed the state of relations between Tehran and Ankara and emphasized the importance of strengthening and expanding cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

 

Araghchi praised ongoing efforts to reduce tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan and stressed the need to intensify regional consultations aimed at preserving peace and stability. He also reiterated Iran’s readiness to assist in such efforts.

 

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan highlighted the interconnectedness of regional peace and stability, underscoring the responsibility of all countries to work toward safeguarding security in the region.

 

Araghchi also offered his condolences over the deaths of several Turkish citizens in the recent crash of a military aircraft, expressing sympathy to the families of the victims.
