WANA (Jun 10) – The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry announced that the next (Sixth) round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States is being scheduled for next Sunday in Muscat, Oman.

 

In response to questions from reporters, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated, “Following consultations, the upcoming round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States is being planned for next Sunday in Muscat.”

 

Baghaei also announced that Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi will travel to Norway this week.

 

According to the spokesperson, Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi is set to visit Norway on Wednesday and Thursday to participate in the 22nd Oslo Forum.

 

So far, five rounds of indirect negotiations have taken place between Iran and the USA. The first round of these indirect talks between Iran and the U.S., mediated by Oman, was held on April 12 in Muscat, and the second round of talks took place in Rome on Saturday, April 19, again with Oman as the intermediary.

 

The third round of talks, which took place on Saturday, April 26, was also in Oman. Iran and the United States concluded their fourth round of indirect negotiations in Muscat on Sunday, May 11. The fifth round also took place in Italy on May 23.
