WANA (May 22) – The exchange of messages and texts between Iran and the United States continues through the mediation of the Pakistani side, with the objective of reaching a framework for an agreement.

Syed Mohsin Naqvi, the Interior Minister of Pakistan, who traveled to Tehran for the second time this week on Wednesday morning, carried a message from the American side to Tehran.

During his second visit to Tehran, Naqvi once again met and held consultations with Iranian officials, including President Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister Sayyid Abbas Araghchi, and his Iranian counterpart.

Pakistani sources stated on Tuesday of this week to certain media outlets based in Islamabad that if the Interior Minister’s talks in Tehran yield results, Field Marshal Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, will travel to Tehran. However, the latest reports as of Thursday night indicate that consultations over the remaining few differences have not yet been finalized.

Pakistani sources announced that the Pakistani Army Chief’s visit will take place once the desired framework between the two sides is finalized.

It is worth noting that the Pakistani Interior Minister will remain in Tehran on Friday to continue consultations, and meetings have been scheduled for Friday toward this objective.
