WANA (Jun 09) – Iran deployed three distinct types of ballistic missiles during its recent military operations against the Israeli regime, including two newly introduced variants—the Kheybar Shekan and the Haj Qassem—according to detailed technical assessments of the strikes.

 

While both missile systems share notable similarities in their structural design, physical appearance, and baseline specifications, experts highlight a fundamental operational difference in their respective flight trajectories.

 

The Kheybar Shekan is engineered to attain higher altitudes, utilizing extreme atmospheric velocity to bypass and overwhelm enemy air defense networks. Conversely, the Haj Qassem operates on a lower flight trajectory, a tactical design feature that allows it to evade radar detection to a significant degree.

 

In terms of precision-strike capabilities, the Haj Qassem demonstrates superior accuracy. This high degree of precision led to the development of a secondary specialized weapon system based directly on its platform.

 

Known as the Qassem Basir, this upgraded variant integrates advanced optical tracking equipment into the warhead assembly to further enhance its pinpoint targeting capabilities.

 

Targeting Efficiency and Satellite Verification

According to assertions made by Israeli officials, Iran launched a total of 22 missiles toward occupied Palestine during Operation Nasr, which took place between June 7 and June 8.

 

The targeted installations included the Ramat David, Nevatim, and Ramon airbases, alongside critical oil infrastructure facilities in Haifa. Although the full extent of the damage remains subject to conflicting reports, newly released satellite imagery has confirmed the direct destruction of at least two storage warehouses inside the Ramat David airbase alone.

 

Military analysts note that the high impact rate and the precise destruction of hardened structures at such distant installations are the direct result of technical adjustments derived from the evaluation of Iran’s four previous True Promise operations, coupled with continuous system upgrades.

 

The tactical deployment of low-volume salvos, launched in coordinated waves of two to four projectiles, succeeded in registering confirmed hits despite the adversary being in a state of high alert and expectation. Defense experts conclude that these successful strikes underscore substantial, real-time advancements in Iran’s missile program amid the ongoing conflict.
