Iran VP Says White House Acting as “Reporting Branch” for Another State
WANA (Apr 14) – Iran’s First Vice President, Mohammad Reza Aref, has issued a sharp critique of the relationship between the United States and Israel, claiming the White House has reached a level of “structural humiliation.”
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Aref reacted to comments attributed to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding communications with U.S. Vice President JD Vance. Aref suggested that the nature of these briefings undermines American sovereignty.
Aref cited a quote purportedly from Netanyahu stating: “Vance reported to me on his way back from Islamabad, as he does every day.”
The Iranian Vice President expressed disbelief at the frequency and nature of the interaction, noting: “For the first time in history, a senior official of a government is providing ‘daily briefings’ to the head of another state!”
Aref further argued that this dynamic goes beyond regional geopolitics and serves as an affront to the American public. “The issue is not us; it is a matter of structural humiliation,” Aref wrote.
He concluded by questioning whether the American electorate is aware that the White House has “effectively turned into a ‘reporting branch’ for another regime.”
