WANA (Jul 21) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry has warned Bulgaria against allowing the deployment of U.S. military aircraft on its territory after the Bulgarian prime minister said the government was considering a U.S. request to station military aircraft in the country for operations against Iran.

 

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said the Bulgarian government was fully aware that U.S. attacks against Iran are illegal and constitute a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter.

 

Baghaei stressed that any involvement in facilitating or carrying out such attacks would amount to complicity in the crime of aggression and war crimes.

 

The spokesperson also underscored that all states are obliged to uphold international law and refrain from assisting military actions that violate the UN Charter, warning that hosting U.S. military assets for operations against Iran would carry legal and international consequences.
