Iran Warns Next Response Will Be ‘Far Worse’
WANA (May 26) – A senior Iranian military official warned that any fresh aggression against the country would trigger an unprecedented military response, threatening to expand the theater of operations beyond regional borders and completely halt oil exports from the Middle East.
Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, the senior spokesman for the Iranian Armed Forces, stated in an interview that Tehran is fully prepared for a confrontation and has already identified a comprehensive bank of targets in the event of an attack by the United States and Israel.
“If we are attacked, our strikes will be more severe, heavier, and stronger,” Shekarchi said, emphasizing that the nature of Iran’s retaliation would differ fundamentally from past operations. “The enemy will certainly face new surprises and tactics.”
The military spokesman added that if the region is plunged into another round of conflict, Iran’s operations will extend beyond regional boundaries, describing the potential response as far more violent and powerful than the previous two confrontations.
Shekarchi also issued a direct economic threat, warning that if conflict resumes and measures are taken to block Iranian exports, the Islamic Republic will retaliate by completely preventing the transit of oil out of the region
