WANA (Mar 15) – The spokesperson for Iran’s Central Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters announced in a statement that Iran’s enemies are using a copied version of an Iranian drone to carry out attacks on targets in neighboring countries in an attempt to blame Iran.

According to the statement, the enemy has replicated Iran’s Shahed-136 drone and is deploying it under a new name, “Lucas drone,” to strike what the statement described as “unjustified targets” in countries across the region.

The spokesperson said the alleged objective behind the operation is to create distrust toward Iran, accuse the Islamic Republic of involvement in the attacks, and ultimately provoke division between Iran and its neighboring states.

The statement added that such actions are intended to undermine what it described as the “defensive, lawful, and legitimate operations” of the Iranian armed forces.

Addressing governments and people of neighboring countries and the wider Muslim region, the headquarters said that, after failing in military confrontation and political coalition-building against Iran, the enemy has turned to “deception and intrigue.”

The statement emphasized that Iran’s defense doctrine is based on responding to military aggression by the United States and Israel and is conducted within what it called a “legal framework and firm strategic logic.”

Iran, the statement said, has repeatedly declared that it targets only U.S. and Israeli interests, facilities, and positions. It added that whenever Iran conducts such operations, it publicly acknowledges responsibility through official announcements.

The headquarters cited what it called “suspicious attacks” in recent days against locations in neighboring and friendly countries such as Turkey, Kuwait, and Iraq, which were allegedly attributed to the Iranian armed forces.

According to the statement, “intelligent reactions” from officials in regional countries could prevent the alleged plot from succeeding. It urged governments and nations in the region to maintain trust, unity, and cooperation in order to prevent external actors from creating division.

The statement concluded by calling on regional states to remain vigilant against what it described as attempts by foreign adversaries to spread discord and instability.
