WANA (Aug 22) – Iran’s Army Commander-in-Chief, Major General Amir Hatami, declared that the country’s armed forces are fully prepared to deliver a decisive and crushing response against any hostile action.

In a message marking Iran’s Defense Industry Day, Hatami praised the advances made in the country’s defense sector despite years of international sanctions. He credited these achievements to domestic scientists, engineers, and the strategic guidance of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Hatami emphasized that Iran’s defense capabilities—developed both in technology and in operational strength—demonstrated their effectiveness during past conflicts, including the eight-year Iran-Iraq war. He stressed that Iran’s reliance on homegrown defense industries has ensured the nation’s security and independence without reliance on foreign powers.

“The sons of our nation in the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran are ready, as always, to deliver an even more powerful and regret-inducing response to any ill-intentioned aggressor,” Hatami said.

The commander also honored fallen defense officials, scientists, and military personnel, while reaffirming the Army’s commitment to working alongside the Ministry of Defense to further strengthen Iran’s military capabilities.
