Iran Warns of Stronger Response to Any New Israeli Attack
WANA (Jul 07) – Senior Iranian military spokesperson Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi has warned that any renewed Israeli aggression will be met with a “stronger and more decisive” response from Iran’s armed forces.
Speaking in an interview, Shekarchi — who serves as the Deputy for Cultural and Soft War Affairs at the General Staff of the Armed Forces — stated that Iran is fully prepared to respond to any potential violation of the ceasefire by Israel. “Should the Zionist regime attempt another attack, it will face a crushing, serious, effective, and regret-inducing response,” he said.
General Shekarchi emphasized that Iran considers itself victorious in the recent 12-day conflict with Israel, noting that Iranian forces delivered heavy blows to what he called the “criminal Zionist regime.” He credited these strikes with forcing Israel to halt its military operations.
“Our forces dealt successive and powerful strikes to the Zionist enemy, and this forced them to stop the war. Our last statement made this clear,” he added.
The top military spokesman reaffirmed the high level of combat readiness of Iran’s armed forces and reiterated that “any move by the Zionist regime will be answered with firmness and force.”
The warning follows a deadly Israeli airstrike in the early hours of June 13, which killed several Iranian commanders, scientists, and civilians. In retaliation, Iran launched a series of precision missile and drone attacks, inflicting what it described as heavy casualties and damages on Israel.
According to Iranian officials, the scale of Iran’s response led Israel to request a ceasefire. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei later declared that the Israeli regime was “crushed and nearly collapsed under the blows of the Islamic Republic.”
