WANA (May 17) – The senior spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces has issued a stern warning to Washington in response to repeated threats from the U.S. president, stating that any “foolish” military action against Iran will be met with severe and devastating retaliation.

 

Speaking to reporters regarding recent rhetoric from Washington, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi asserted that the United States would face harsher consequences if it attempted to target Iran again.

 

“Repeating any act of foolishness to compensate for America’s loss of face in the ‘Third Imposed War’ against Iran will yield no result for that country other than receiving more crushing and severe blows,” Shekarchi stated.

 

Warnings of an American ‘Quagmire’

The senior military official claimed that the U.S. administration is operating from a position of desperation and warned that Iranian forces are prepared to deploy aggressive, unannounced tactical measures in the event of a conflict.

 

“The desperate U.S. president must know that if these threats materialize and a new aggression is launched against Islamic Iran, their assets and depleted military will face new, offensive, surprising, and storm-like scenarios,” Shekarchi said.

 

He concluded by warning that U.S. forces would find themselves trapped in a crisis of their own making, adding that they “will sink into a self-inflicted quagmire, which is the direct result of that president’s adventurous policies.”
