Iran Will Respond to Any Inappropriate Move by Europe
WANA (Jun 01) – Iran’s Foreign Minister has urged the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to highlight Iran’s cooperation with the Agency during the upcoming Board of Governors meeting and to warn of the consequences of any politically motivated actions. He emphasized that Iran will respond appropriately to any improper move by European parties.
Rafael Grossi, Director General of the IAEA, held a phone conversation with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the call, the two sides reviewed the latest developments regarding nuclear negotiations and sanctions relief, and also discussed the IAEA’s newly released report on Iran.

Referring to Iran’s ongoing cooperation with the Agency, the Foreign Minister stressed that all of Iran’s nuclear activities are conducted under IAEA supervision and within the framework of the Safeguards Agreement, with no deviation in its nuclear activities or materials. He urged the Director General to reflect these facts accurately, so that no party can misuse the Agency as a tool to advance political agendas against the Iranian nation.
The Iranian Foreign Minister further called on the Director General to underscore Iran’s cooperation in the upcoming IAEA Board of Governors meeting and to caution against the consequences of any political maneuvering.
He warned that Iran will deliver a proportional response to any inappropriate action by European parties, and that the responsibility for any resulting consequences will rest with those who exploit the Agency and its mechanisms to pursue political objectives against Iran.
