WANA (Jun 15) – The spokesperson for the Iranian Army has stressed that the country’s armed forces remain fully prepared and capable of restoring the military situation to its pre-agreement state if the opposing side fails to honor its commitments.

 

Speaking to Iran’s state television on Monday, Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia said the United States and Israel failed to achieve their objectives during the 12-day and 40-day conflicts, despite what he described as extensive planning and multiple strategic goals. According to him, Iran emerged from the confrontations with several significant military and strategic achievements.

 

Akraminia said one of the most important outcomes of the conflicts was the increased confidence of Iran’s armed forces. He argued that the performance of the military demonstrated that even some of the world’s most advanced armed forces could be prevented from achieving their objectives when faced with Iran’s defensive capabilities.

 

The army spokesperson also pointed to greater coordination among different branches of the armed forces, saying that improved cooperation had strengthened operational effectiveness and enhanced military readiness.

 

He further stated that the production of military equipment continued throughout the conflicts without interruption. According to Akraminia, Iran maintained the development and production of missiles and drones during the fighting and introduced newer and more advanced systems in the later stages of the conflicts.

 

Referring to examples of what he described as sacrifice and dedication among military personnel, Akraminia recounted an incident in which Iranian Air Force pilots were tasked with intercepting an enemy drone flying over Tehran. After missile attempts proved unsuccessful, the pilots reportedly managed to bring down the drone through direct aerial contact while safely returning their aircraft to base.

 

The spokesperson also highlighted the story of a couple involved in drone design and production. He said that after the woman’s husband was killed in an enemy attack, she pledged to continue his work and intensify her efforts in support of the country’s defense industry.

 

Addressing the period following the ceasefire and any potential future agreement, Akraminia emphasized that Iran remains distrustful of its adversaries and will continue strengthening its defensive and deterrent capabilities.

 

“We support any agreement that serves the interests of the Iranian people,” he said. “However, we believe that ensuring the other side fulfills its obligations requires strength, and therefore we will continue to maintain and enhance the readiness of our armed forces.”

 

He warned that Iran is fully prepared to respond if any agreement or understanding is violated.

 

“We have the capability and readiness to swiftly and forcefully restore the military situation in the region to its pre-agreement condition if the other side breaches its commitments,” Akraminia said. “Such actions would once again lead the aggressor to regret its decision.”

 

The army spokesperson also emphasized coordination between military and diplomatic efforts, stating that Iran’s armed forces support the country’s diplomatic initiatives while continuing to fulfill their defense responsibilities within the framework of national strategy.

 

Concluding his remarks, Akraminia described the Iranian people as the primary source of the country’s recent successes, saying that public support and resilience had played a key role in strengthening the morale of the armed forces and contributing to what he characterized as Iran’s achievements.

 

He reaffirmed that Iran’s armed forces would continue to defend the country’s security, sovereignty, and national interests and would respond decisively to any threat or act of aggression.
