WANA (Aug 21) – For the second year in a row, the Iranian National Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad Team has brought immense pride to the country by securing the top position among 64 participating nations at the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad.

 

The team delivered an outstanding performance in this year’s competition, earning valuable medals and reaffirming Iran’s position at the pinnacle of the global stage.

 

The members of Iran’s triumphant team in this edition of the Olympiad are:

This remarkable achievement is the result of the students’ dedication, support from their families, the efforts of their coaches, and the solidarity of Iran’s scientific community, once again raising the nation’s flag proudly on the world stage.

 

Last year, “Hananeh Khorramdashti,” “Arvin Rasoulzadeh,” “Mohammad Mahdi Keshavarzi,” “Arya Fateh Kordari,” and “Ali Naderi Lordjani,” the representatives of Iran in the 17th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics, each secured a gold medal, placing Iran in the first position with this outstanding achievement.
