Iran Women’s Padel Team Finishes as Asian Runner-Up
WANA (Oct 25) – The curtain fell on the Asian Padel Championship with Iran’s women’s team securing the runner-up title, while the men’s team finished in fourth place.
The tournament, hosted in Doha, Qatar, featured top contenders from across the continent and included both men’s and women’s categories. In the women’s final, Team Iran faced Japan and, after a 2–0 defeat, claimed the silver medal.
In the men’s category, Iran competed against Australia in the third-place playoff. Australia emerged victorious, leaving the Iranian team in fourth place at the end of the competition.

Participating nations included Iran, Bahrain, China, Indonesia, Japan, Oman, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Pakistan, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand, the UAE, Qatar, and Australia.
The Iranian men’s squad featured Amirsina Saleh, Farsad Shahi, Kiarash Souri, Sajad Zareian, Arsham Moradinejad, Hami Golestan, Arya Roghani, and Amir Mohammad Jamshidi, under the leadership of Tiago Santos as head coach. Dariush Saber served as assistant coach, Masoud Karkhaneh as fitness coach, Sohrab Hosseinzadeh as analyst, and Mohammadreza Golzar as team manager.
The women’s team consisted of Zahra Kahreizi, Servanaz Kamasi, Kimia Manajati Fasaei, Saba Najafi, Hanieh Sadeghi, Neda Mohammadtaghpour, and Hananeh Yaghoubzadeh, led by Sahabeh Fard who served as both coach and player. Melika Shahab accompanied the team as manager.
Shahin Kharazchi headed the Iranian delegation, with Reza Houshmand serving as media coordinator. The national padel team’s participation was supported by Deloseh (main sponsor), Unipro (official apparel sponsor for both men’s and women’s teams), and Padel4All (content partner).
