Iran Won’t Bow to Excessive Demands of the Other Parties
WANA (Jun 30) – In his weekly press conference, Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said Monday that Iran will by no means surrender to the excessive demands of the other parties,” and asserted that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and its Director General must fundamentally reconsider how they cooperate with Iran.
Baghaei’s weekly press conference opened with Iran’s anthem “Ey Iran” and images of recent victims, including children, killed in Israel’s attack on Iran. He paid tribute to those martyred in the 12-day Israeli aggression and criticized international silence.
Call for UN Action on Israeli-U.S. Aggression
Baghaei declared that the U.S. and Israel have clearly attacked Iran and urged bodies like the UN Security Council to formally acknowledge the assault and hold them accountable. He said a biased IAEA report was used to justify the aggression.
IAEA Board of Governors Adopts Anti-Iran Resolution
WANA (Jun 12) – The Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has passed a politically charged resolution against Iran, backed by the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. The move came on Thursday, during the third day of the IAEA’s ongoing quarterly meeting. According to reports, the resolution […]
IAEA Report Used to Justify Attack
Baghaei, in response to a question about the IAEA and its chief’s actions regarding Iran’s nuclear file, said Iran has always expected the Director General to act within his technical mandate and avoid being influenced by certain IAEA Board of Governors members. He added that political behavior from the U.S., the E3, and others has been undeniable over the past two decades.
He regretted that Iran’s requests were ignored and noted that the IAEA report was inappropriate and used as a pretext for the military aggression by the Israeli regime and the U.S.
Baghaei emphasized that issues related to the IAEA’s performance and the Board of Governors’ resolution must not distract from the main issue: the illegality of the Israeli and American attacks on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities—an act of aggression.
No Date Set for EU Talks
On Iran-EU nuclear talks, Baghaei stated no date has been set yet, and further information will be announced once a decision is made.

WANA (Jun 21) – Following talks with European officials, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi emphasized that Iran will not engage in any negotiations as long as Israeli aggression continues. Ten Letters Sent to UN on Israeli Attacks
He added that Israel’s attacks on Iran are war crimes, as the regime attacked Iran without justification and killed Iranian citizens. About ten letters have been sent to the UN Secretary-General and related agencies, and the UN Security Council has held three meetings on the matter.
Parliament’s Law on Suspending IAEA Cooperation is Binding
Regarding parliamentary legislation to suspend cooperation with the IAEA, Baghaei said: “The law is binding and reflects our people’s concerns over recent events and the IAEA’s inaction regarding attacks on our peaceful nuclear sites and the assassination of our nuclear scientists.”
He noted that while the IAEA Director General insists on continued cooperation, “he must explain how we can ensure inspector safety when Iran’s nuclear facilities were attacked just last week. Meanwhile, a committed NPT member like Iran faces silence—or even justification—from the IAEA.” He reiterated: “The IAEA and its Director General must fundamentally reassess their cooperation with Iran.”
Ghalibaf Issues Law Mandating Suspension of Cooperation with IAEA
WANA (Jun 26) – Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has officially notified Iran’s President Pezeshkian of the new law requiring the government to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). In a post on his personal account on the social media platform X, Ghalibaf shared an image of the […]
Normalizing Crimes Leads to Repetition and Lawlessness
Responding to a question about threats against Iran’s Foreign Minister on an Israeli-linked social media account, Baghaei warned that the Israeli regime’s nature is well known and that international lawlessness by this regime threatens all nations. He urged all global organizations to respond to Israeli crimes in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran.
He stressed that normalizing crimes paves the way for their repetition and further violations of the law.
German Statements a Historic Shame
Regarding recent comments by German and French officials supporting the Israeli and U.S. attacks, Baghaei said: “These positions are unacceptable. Germany’s remarks, in particular, will leave a permanent historical shame for the country.”
He criticized Germany’s use of the phrase “dirty work” to describe Israeli aggression, saying: “Anyone familiar with Nazi Germany knows what that term implies. I never imagined a German Chancellor would use language once used to justify Hitler’s racist actions.”
He stated: “The people of cultured Germany—and the world—should question how German leaders now use such language to defend a regime built on apartheid, aggression, and genocide.”
For Iranians, he said, this rhetoric “rubs salt in an old wound”—recalling the chemical weapons attacks Saddam Hussein carried out on Iranian and Iraqi civilians with Western backing.
Baghaei emphasized that such unacceptable positions show that countries like Germany are holding the EU’s credibility hostage and damaging the EU’s standing in global affairs.
Trump’s Shifting Positions on Sanctions Unreliable
Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman criticized former U.S. President Donald Trump’s inconsistent remarks on sanctions, saying such fluctuating positions have become a fixed pattern in recent U.S. behavior. “You’ve seen it before—plans announced in the morning, followed by new sanctions in the afternoon,” he said, describing the moves as part of psychological and media games rather than serious diplomacy.
Israeli Attack During Talks Shows U.S. Betrayal of Diplomacy
The spokesman reminded reporters that during the peak of diplomatic efforts and just two days before the sixth round of nuclear talks, Israel—with U.S. support—launched a military strike against Iran. He called this a clear betrayal of diplomacy.

Swiss Role as U.S. Channel and Humanitarian Actor Under Scrutiny
On Swiss-Iran relations, he noted Switzerland acts as a key channel for Iran-U.S. communication and hosts major international organizations. However, he criticized Switzerland’s lack of active response to humanitarian violations in Gaza, saying it has failed to take strong positions despite its obligations under humanitarian conventions.
Swiss Inaction Amid Gaza Massacres
Referring to recent Israeli attacks in Gaza, including the killing of nearly 90 civilians in the last 24 hours, the spokesperson said Switzerland has not played an effective role. Even a proposed humanitarian resolution in Geneva failed to pass.
U.S. Actions Impacting Talks with Europe
He said recent Israeli-U.S. attacks on Iran have naturally affected diplomatic processes, including Iran-Europe talks. While diplomatic channels with Europe remain open, he stated the format and timing of formal negotiations are still under review.

IAEA Must Be Accountable for Its Report
Addressing the IAEA Director General’s denial that his agency’s report enabled the Israeli attack, he urged observers to consider the timing. He emphasized that although the report doesn’t justify the aggression legally, it was used as a pretext, and the IAEA must be held accountable.
Iran Condemns Israeli Attack on Evin Prison as Atrocity
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Baghaei condemned Israel’s attack on Evin Prison as a “barbaric crime,” stating that many Iranian civilians were killed, including a female philanthropist aiding prisoners’ release, a mother and her 5-year-old child, and several conscript soldiers. He said documenting this crime is underway, and foreign diplomats and journalists have already visited the affected sites, with more visits planned.
France Must Be Held Accountable
In response to France’s defense minister admitting the country’s role in intercepting Iranian drones during the Israeli assault, Baghaei said this constitutes acceptance of responsibility in an act of aggression against Iran. France, he stressed, must be held accountable after previously denying involvement.

The victims include prison staff, conscript soldiers, inmates, their visiting family members, and residents living near the facility. Asghar Jahangir, speaking on Sunday, […]
No Surrender to Western Pressure
Commenting on French threats to reimpose EU sanctions if Iran refuses to return to negotiations, Baghaei rejected the coercive use of tools under UN Security Council Resolution 2231. He said Iran will not submit to excessive demands and warned that talks cannot proceed under such threats. Europe must reconsider its stance, he added.
U.S. Undermining Talks, Not Iran
Responding to U.S. claims that Iran lacks seriousness in negotiations, Baghaei asked whether it was Iran or the U.S. that, just days before the sixth round of talks, encouraged Israel to strike Iran. He emphasized that Iran had expressed readiness for continuous talks, while the other side engaged only occasionally and now seeks to justify recent crimes.
Grossi’s Trip to Iran
Baghaei reaffirmed Iran’s clear rights under the NPT to peaceful nuclear energy. He criticized IAEA Director-General Grossi’s insistence on visiting Iran shortly after hostile attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, calling the timing unreasonable given unresolved security concerns and ongoing damage assessments.
Academic Attacks Reported to UNESCO
He confirmed that Iran’s Ministry of Science has documented Israeli attacks on Iranian scientists and academic centers and submitted the reports to UNESCO. Iran is following up through its national representative to ensure action is taken.

WANA (Jun 20) – According to the official government news portal, Iran’s Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, Hossein Simayi, has sent a formal letter to UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay, calling for a strong condemnation and appropriate response to the targeted assassinations of Iranian scientists allegedly carried out by the Israeli regime. The full […]
Neighboring States Deny Allowing Israeli Attacks
Baghaei also addressed reports that Israel used the airspace of neighboring countries, including Azerbaijan, to launch attacks. He said Iran has shared related data with those countries, all of which denied granting such access and assured Iran that it will not happen in the future.
Monitoring and Follow-Up Continue
Baghaei stated that Iranian armed forces and security agencies are carefully monitoring and documenting all violations, and the Foreign Ministry is pursuing these matters seriously through diplomatic channels.
Trump’s Remarks “Rejected and Condemned”
The Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned recent offensive comments made by former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the Supreme Leader of Iran. The Ministry’s spokesperson stated that an official response had been issued and the Foreign Minister had clearly expressed Iran’s position.
“These vulgar, insulting, and provocative remarks are entirely rejected and condemned,” the spokesperson said, noting that they have deeply offended millions of Iranians and Muslims worldwide. He added that such rhetoric only fuels hatred toward U.S. policies in the region.

WANA (Jun 29) – Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi, a prominent Shia Marja’ (a high-ranking religious authority whom Shia Muslims follow in religious matters), has issued a religious fatwa (an official Islamic legal opinion) in response to a stifta (religious inquiry) concerning recent threats by the United States and Israel against the Supreme Leader of the […]
Armed Forces Ready to Defend Iran
In response to a question about how to prevent further Israeli aggression, the spokesperson referenced the Israeli military attack on June 12, calling it unjustified and unprovoked. Iran’s armed forces, he said, responded with full force and made it clear to the aggressor that continued hostility would not serve its interests.
He stressed, “Our powerful armed forces are fully prepared to defend the nation. This readiness remains the most important deterrent against further provocations by the Israeli regime or others.”
Diplomatic Efforts to Highlight Israeli Threats
The spokesperson noted that alongside military preparedness, Iran’s diplomatic channels are actively engaged. “We are pursuing our responsibilities with seriousness,” he said, emphasizing efforts to alert the international community to the dangers of Israeli actions.
Foreign Embassies in Iran Amid Tensions
Addressing the status of foreign diplomatic missions in Iran following the 12-day conflict with Israel, the spokesperson said some embassies chose to reduce or suspend operations temporarily.
Some staff relocated to neighboring countries, but several have returned in recent days, and others plan to resume normal activities within the next few days. This, he noted, is taking place in coordination with the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
He reaffirmed, “We will do everything necessary to ensure the safety of foreign embassies and diplomatic missions in our country.”
