WANA (Jul 14) – A federal jury in Boston has convicted a dual Iranian-American citizen of illegally exporting technology to Iran that prosecutors allege could potentially be used in military drones.
Mehdi Sadeghi was found guilty on three charges, including conspiracy to export technology to Iran in violation of U.S. sanctions.
Despite the convictions, the jury acquitted Sadeghi on two other charges of violating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).
