WANA (May 08) – The Foreign Ministers of Iran and the United Kingdom held a telephone conversation tonight, Friday, May 8, to discuss the latest developments in the region.

In the call between Seyed Abbas Araghchi and British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, the two diplomats exchanged views on current regional affairs. This follows a separate conversation earlier today between Araghchi and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

The last official contact between Araghchi and Cooper occurred in March 2026, during which they discussed the implications of the conflict involving the U.S. and the Israeli regime against Iran, as well as the ongoing situation across the region.
