WANA (Sep 24) – Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian and France’s President Emmanuel Macron held talks on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

 

The discussions focused on issues related to Iran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as well as the future of the snapback mechanism.

 

The 80th UN General Assembly, held at the organization’s headquarters in New York from September 22 to 28, brings together representatives of 193 member states under the theme: “Together, Better: 80 Years and Beyond for Peace, Development, and Human Rights.”
