Iranian and Japanese FM Hold Phone Talks
WANA (Jul 28) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi held a telephone conversation on Tuesday afternoon to discuss bilateral relations as well as the latest regional and international developments, particularly the current state of ongoing talks.
During the call, the Iranian Foreign Minister briefed his Japanese counterpart on the latest diplomatic efforts aimed at establishing peace and stability in the region.
Both sides emphasized the necessity of continued joint cooperation and coordination to address the insecurity imposed on the Strait of Hormuz resulting from aggressive actions by the United States.
The foreign ministers of Iran and Japan also exchanged views regarding the follow-up of several consular matters.
